Board Election/Candidate Info

Voters will see three names on the ballot when they head to the polls April 7, 2020. They are Paul Martell, Jenny Ray and Adam Andre. The highest two vote getters will be elected to the school board to serve a three year term.

Important Dates:

December 27, 2019, 5 pm – Deadline for incumbents to file Notification of Non-Candidacy 
January 7, 2020, 5 pm – Deadline for candidates to file Declaration of Candidacy and Campaign Registration Statement
February 18, 2020 – Spring Primary (if necessary)
April 7, 2020 – Spring Election

Any qualified elector wishing to be a candidate and have their name listed on the official ballot for one of the two (2) Elkhorn Area School District Board of Education positions in April, 2020 must submit a Campaign Registration Statement and Declaration of Candidacy to the District Office no later than 5:00 pm on Tuesday, January 7, 2020. *The Declaration of Candidacy requires notarization.

Regular business hours for the District Office for the Elkhorn Area School District are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, although the District Office will be open until the 5:00 pm deadline on Tuesday, January 7, 2020, for acceptance of candidacy documents. Please note: The District Office will have limited office hours during holiday break.
