April is Autism Awareness Month, and we're inviting you to celebrate with us in a few different ways! Caravel Autism Health is hosting a month-long sensory toy drive. You can drop off new and gently used fidgets at their clinic in Lake Geneva. The Elkhorn Autism Support Team (EAST) is kicking off Autism Awareness Month with an Autism Acceptance Spirit Week from April 14 to 17. Stay tuned for even more from EAST this month.

One of the most frequent questions that school districts and school boards get when asking their communities to vote on an operational referendum is, “How will this referendum affect my property taxes?” The estimated tax impact of EASD’s four-year $4 million non-recurring referendum on $300,000 worth of property value is $13.28 a month. That's equivalent to less than a month’s worth of a streaming service to ensure that EASD can keep neighborhood schools and avoid increasing class sizes by approximately 25%.
