The Elkhorn Area School District understands the needs of working parents and the need for before and/or afternoon child care. Busing is available to daycare providers located within the school's attendance area, in addition to the larger daycare providers in Elkhorn.

On-site before and after-school childcare is also provided at a cost by Lakeland Little Learners at Jackson Elementary and Tibbets Elementary and Kiddie Kottage Learning Academy at West Side Elementary. 

Off-site before and after-school childcare for Jackson Elementary and West Side Elementary students is available at a cost through the Elkhorn Recreation Department. BASH (Before & After School Hours) operates out of the Elkhorn Rec Center.
